Attendance software for small businesses, without a server or cloud subscription

For a small business, an attendance system must be simple to install, reliable, and not create dependence on an online service. Tempo installs on one of the company’s Windows PCs, reads the terminal over the local network and keeps all the data on your premises.

The PC stays on during working hours

Tempo reads the terminal every 2 minutes. If it is off, nothing is lost: events are read when it comes back.

Getting started

The installation guide allows about an hour on site, plus the time to enrol employees on the terminal.

  1. Terminal preparation: fixed IP address, GMT+0 without daylight saving, NTP
  2. Tempo installation and setup wizard: company, attendance rules, departments, privacy, administrator account
  3. Employee import from Excel (template provided) and shift creation
  4. Terminal connection and employee enrolment
  5. HR training, then licence activation

A controlled cost

No server to buy, no per-user cloud subscription. The quote separates the software licence, the terminal (if you do not have one), installation and training. See how a quote is built.

Frequently asked questions

From how many employees is Tempo useful?

As soon as paper or Excel tracking takes time or causes disagreements — often from about ten employees, or as soon as there are staggered hours.

What happens if the PC breaks down?

Punches stay in the terminal’s memory. Tempo is reinstalled, the latest backup is restored, then the missing events are read again from the terminal.
