Atlaxys Tempo: frequently asked questions

Windows software for attendance management: it reads punches from your terminals, compares them with the schedule, calculates hours, lateness and overtime, manages leave, and produces timesheets, reports and a payroll export. It is developed by Atlaxys Consulting in Morocco.

Yes. Tempo is installed on one of the company’s PCs and talks to the terminal over the local network. It sends nothing over the internet: no cloud, no telemetry, no update check.

A Windows 10 or 11 64-bit PC with 4 GB of memory and 1 GB of free space. An ordinary Windows account is enough. Tempo 1.0 runs on a single workstation: several PCs cannot share the same database.

No. Version 1.0 has neither a mobile app nor an employee self-service portal.

French, Arabic and English. Each user chooses their language; in Arabic the interface switches to right-to-left, and exported reports follow the chosen language.

The reference terminal is the Hikvision DS-K1T321MFWX, read over the local network. ZKTeco terminals in PUSH mode are supported on an experimental basis, and attlog.dat or CSV files can be imported. Details are in the compatibility matrix.

The requests Tempo uses worked on a real DS-K1T321MFWX on 15 October 2026, through the code shared with Atlaxys’s Gymza software. Tempo itself is tested against a simulated terminal built on the recorded responses of this model; its acceptance test on the physical terminal is done at installation.

Nothing is lost: punches stay in the terminal’s memory and Tempo reads them when it restarts.

No, on purpose. Tempo manages attendance, not door access control.

Not by default: faces and fingerprints stay on the terminal where they were captured. The employer can turn on an encrypted copy in Tempo (to enrol an employee on several terminals or rebuild a reset terminal); the option is off by default, and turning it off deletes every copy.

Software cannot be “compliant” by itself: compliance depends on the employer’s declaration or authorisation with the CNDP, on informing employees, and on how the system is used. Tempo helps you document your process: CNDP reference, employee notice, consent recorded at enrolment, configurable retention, role-limited access. Have your setup reviewed by an adviser.

No. Tempo never requests event photos from the terminal.

They are archived: their attendance history is kept, and the “also remove from terminals” option deletes their face, fingerprints and cards from the terminals, along with any copy in Tempo.

No. We have no remote access and receive no copy, unless you send us a backup or a diagnostic file for support (the diagnostic contains no personal data).

To a USB drive or a network folder, on demand or on a schedule. Each backup is verified by reopening the copy and can be encrypted with a password. A restore first takes a safety backup of the current state.

No. A punch is never deleted; a correction requires a reason and appears in the audit trail, whose integrity can be verified.
