Attendance management
Lateness, absences and overtime: clear rules you can actually apply
How to define a lateness grace period, justified absences and overtime, what the Moroccan Labour Code says, and how to apply the rules without arguments.
Attendance tracking
Tempo turns punches at the terminal into calculated working days: hours worked, lateness, early departures and overtime, according to each employee’s planned shift. Every figure can be explained and every correction leaves a record.

For a given date, the register shows each employee with their shift, punches, hours worked and status: present, on duty, late, absent, not yet arrived, on leave, to review. Click a row to open the day: shifts, punches (including voided ones), detailed calculation and change history.
The dashboard sums up the day in figures; click a figure to open the matching list in the register.

Hours worked = arrival/departure pairs minus the unpaid break. Punches repeated a few seconds apart count once. An arrival without a departure counts no hours until the departure is added: the day shows “missing clock-out” instead of inventing a time.
A forgotten punch, a lost badge, a terminal down: you add a manual punch with a mandatory reason. Correcting a punch voids the original — struck through, still visible — and replaces it. A punch is never deleted.
Past days can only be changed by authorised users (HR, management). Reception, for example, can only add today’s punches.
Why it matters
If an employee disputes a late arrival or an absence, you can show the original punch, the correction, who made it, when and why.
The Exceptions screen gathers every day that needs a decision over a period. Days without errors can be approved together; errors (missing clock-out, impossible duration) open one by one. On approval you can attach a justification (lateness, early departure, absence) and approve overtime.
If the day changes afterwards (a new punch, a new shift), it goes back to “to review”: an approval never hides data that arrived later.
For one employee and one period: the day-by-day detail and the totals — planned, worked, overtime, lateness, absences, leave. The timesheet uses exactly the register’s figures and exports to PDF, Excel or CSV.

The day is flagged “missing clock-out” and counts no hours until a departure is added. An authorised user adds the missing punch with a reason; the action is written to the audit trail.
No. A punch can be voided and replaced, but it remains visible (struck through) with the author and the reason of the correction.
Tempo calculates and routes overtime for approval according to the chosen rule, and exports it separately. The amounts (premium rates, pay) are calculated in your payroll software.
